In 2009 Subtone had many sellout nights from the likes of living legend Fabio (radio1) playing liquid funk drumb & base and we saw the return of some Subtone favourites; the Scratch Perverts, Leeroy Thornhill (Prodigy) and Sister Bliss (faithless).
One of the many highlights of the year was DJ YODA; Q-Magazine said “One of the Top10 DJ’s to see before you die” & voted one on the “Top 3 DJ’s” in the world Hip Hop Connection
2009 also saw red hot Saxist James Morton in residence with his Quartet Pork Chop and the release of his debut Album “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout That’” Highly recommended listening for Funk & SoulJazz fans alike.
